November 6, 2009forever the sickest kids showlast night, justin and i went to bogarts to see forever the sickest kids. we got there just in time for the doors to open, thank god because it was freezing outside! my favorite highway went on first, and they were much better live than they are on their cd. vita played next, her voice got so annoying. she kept squeaking at the end of her words and it just got to me. then sing it loud played, and they were really good. then the rocket summer came on. SO amazing. and of course, forever the sickest kids was amazing as always, and justin and i danced and sang the entire night. we didn't go onto the floor until sing it loud. so we were sitting up in the chairs with the parents and everyone who was old enough to drink (justin and i, and the rest parents) and met some really cool parents. we ended up finding out they go to almost every show we do, so now we're gonna say hi to them when we see them next haha it was such a fun night! i can't wait for hit the lights at the end of november!

November 1, 2009halloween 2009so this is a journal about halloween eve and also halloween night. so halloween eve (as i call the 30th haha) justin had a party over at his house. it was just a few of our close friends. lots of card games, dance party music, and the night ended at 6am with chris falling asleep inside a giant pumpkin costume and marc passed out cuddled up with my stuffed panda.
anna, mckenzie, and i. anna was a german beer girl, mckenzie was some morbid little red riding hood or something like that haha
eric was a vampire surgeon. he had fake vampire teeth which he is now claiming he will wear every single day haha
anna and i, and mini alice in the background lounging on the chair haha
i was dancing with maple syrup :)
and this is how chris fell asleep. knees inside the costume and all. it was hilarious
then on halloween night, (which was FREEZING!) justin and eric and i went to anna's halloween party. mckenzie came over a little later too. anna had a ton of people over, i didn't know anyone except the people i came with. but it was fun with only minor drama. the night ended with anna crying, her mom carrying her off to bed, and justin having to drive marc's stick shift car back to justin's apartment. he had only driven a stick once, but surprisingly he only stalled one time. i drove behind him the entire time with eric to make sure they made it without us having to push the car the rest of the way haha this is the only picture i have on my camera from halloween night. anna has tons on hers, but i'm pretty sure she slept the entire day today. needless to say, it was a great halloween. my friends and i decided every month, on the last day, that's going to be halloween from now on. so we're going to dress up once a month. i'm all excited haha
what did everyone else do?

October 30, 2009i love halloween
i am so excited for tonight! justin is having a halloween party at his apartment and it's going to be amazing. the only sad thing is he's moving in with his grandma about 30 minutes away on sunday. he already lives 30 minutes from me, so it'll be close to an hour for me to see him. but the apartment he's in, the building was sold and the owner is destroying all the apartments and making it a real house again. so he had to leave.
but this party is going to be really fun! we originally were planning it for saturday, until our friend anna invited us to her halloween party on saturday. so i get to be a pirate for 2 days straight!
today my dad has a photoshoot with a guy named bootsy collins. (if you don't know who he is, he was popular in the 70s, he's a funk bassist and singer) my dad has to photograph his wife and some other ladies and he said i could come watch the shoot if i wanted. i may be able to do the editing for it, and make some money. so that would be good!
i just want to stay dressed up in my pirate costume all day haha i'm obsessed with it!
what else is happening...oh on november 5th justin is taking me to see forever the sickest kids and the rocket summer. i'm SO excited for that show! the last time forever the sickest kids came to town, justin spent $80 getting them drunk haha so this time should be interesting...haha lots of fun i'm assuming :)
there are a ton more shows in november i wanted to go see, bayside, silverstein with madina lake and i see stars, breathe carolina, but i think the only other ones i'm going to in november are hit the lights on the 24th, and all time low with hey monday, friday night boys, and we the kings on the 28th.
anyway, i'm off to go shower and then pick up some party supplies for tonight, so i hope everyone has a very fun and safe halloween and post pictures so i can see everyone's costumes! i'll make sure to take pictures tonight and saturday :)

October 29, 2009crunk kids tour
so last friday, my boyfriend justin and i drove to indianapolis to see the crunk kids tour. brokencyde (who i've never heard) was headlining. once we got there, the line was about 100 kids long. we didn't get in til right as blood on the dance floor was going on. they were pretty awful live, but fun to watch. i still love their music. so fun to dance to haha
then watchout there's ghosts came on and they were truly truly horrible. their cd is so good, but they're just BAD live! so we walked across the street to the bar because this venue didn't have a bar. we got a beer and hung out for a little and then went back over.
after watchout there's ghosts, was the ready set. they were AMAZING! i seriously was happy we went just for them. i had only heard them once or twice before the show, but they were SO good live. i have to get their cd.
next was kill paradise. they had amazing disco lights and i thought it was a fun show. they played pretty well. then after they ended, we went back over to the bar because we weren't staying for brokencyde.
the bar had karaoke night, so we heard some really redneck people singing and it was amazing haha this one guy had SUCH a deep voice, like amazingly deep and it was so good. we kept asking him to sing more songs. and some other guy was telling us about magic mushrooms. he was about 50 haha it was the best night.
justin and i sang at our table, but we never got up to do karaoke. we stayed at the bar until about midnight, and then he drove us back to cincinnati. we sang really loud oldies songs and afi the whole way home haha it was such a fun night :)

September 20, 2009sometimes i feel like i'm back in high schoolwith the amount of drama i've been dealing with lately.
i've been kind of fighting with my best friend nick, and he and my new boyfriend justin can't stand each other and that's just stressing me out a little bit because yesterday i was in the middle of a texting war between them and i was just like omg GROW UP!
i try to stay out of drama as much as possible because i don't like focusing my energy on that. i don't want the negativity in my life. right now, i'm doing so many positive things that i just want to surround myself with positive energy and focus on what's important.
so now that i got that out, i went to a cancer benefit concert the other night and saw close to home, made avail, the paramedic, delta delta, and some other bands. it was so much fun and i got an awesome t shirt from inspire and infect clothing
inspire and infect is my friend josh from close to home's clothing line. if you wanna check out their stuff you can go to www.myspace.com/inspireinfect
and here's a picture of my boyfriend haha
i can not WAIT until september 30th because some friends and i are driving up to grand rapids michigan to see a day to remember (my favorite band EVER!!!) with in fear and faith (another amazing band), i see stars, and parkway drive. EEEEE!!!! that's my excitement right there. seriously i am counting down the days.
to add another total random thing to this, here's a picture of my healed tattoos because this looks way better than the photo i posted before of them
i want to start getting back to buzznet more. i made so many good friends on here that i want to stay in contact with. so sorry for not being here lately and thank you for those of you who are still checking my posts and keeping up with me!

September 18, 2009the bled / alesana show
so last night i went with justin, chris, and eric to go see the bled, alesana, broadway, enter shakari, and asking alexandria at the attic in dayton. we got on the bled's guest list thanks to justin because the guys had just seen them in illinois 4 days ago and talked with them there.
we went and hung out with them around back, got yelled at by security for drinking (the attic is a christian venue) and then ended up hanging out in the parking lot for a while and going in for the show.
asking alexandria was the first band we saw, broadway had already played and we missed them. but asking alexandria was so good! they're from london, so i loved how they talked. i love accents haha
then enter shakari played, also from london. they were SO good. i really liked them. then the bled went on, and were amazing. alesana was last, and they really played a good show. it was so much fun watching them. i love their guitarist's facial expressions and how he acts on stage. they are just amazing live.
after the show, we walked to sonic so i could get a grilled cheese haha and went over to the bar by the venue and waited for the bands there. the bled showed up and hung out for a little, but one of their guys didn't feel good so they left. alesana stayed the whole time we were there though. we were playing songs on this juke box, you could pay and pick songs and close to home was on there so we kept playing that and crazy swedish dance music.
it was such a fun night, lots of drinking, dancing, singing, just an all around great time. in another hour i'm going to a cancer benefit show with made avail, the paramedic, close to home, and some other bands. i'm super excited!
i hope everyone is doing well!

August 16, 2009philadelphianick and i just got back from philadelphia today and i honestly had the most amazing time and wanted to write a journal if not for anyone else to read my experiences, but just so i'd remember them. it's sad but buzznet has become like my diary, it's so easy to go back and see when i posted a photo or a journal describing an event.
so anyway, here's my philly story.
on thursday morning at 3am, we woke up and started driving. it took 10 hours exactly to get there. on the way, we stopped at a rest stop and nick's beef jerky got stuck in the vending machine and some old man bought another bag (even though he didn't want it) just so nick's would fall out too. it was so nice of him. so the entire trip was all about karma, complimenting people or doing something nice because in return, people would do something nice for you.
we got to philly and it was pouring rain. i met wes, nick's best friend. he lives right in downtown philly and works as the head chef in an amazing restaurant / bar called vintage. we spent most of our time there, hanging out, having amazing dinner and drinks.
thursday night wes played a show and we met a ton of awesome people. then we all went out to a club for drinks and had a great time. the people there are so amazing. i got along with them really well. there is the most amazing lager in philly called Yuengling and it's america's oldest brewery. i usually don't like dark beer, but this stuff was amazing! after the club, we walked to an all night pizza place and got a slice of some delicious pepperoni pizza, and tried walking back to some girl named amber's house but ended up piling into a cab. we hung out there for a couple more beers and sat out on her deck talking and having a great time. the sun rose, and we all watched that. it was really nice. i was exhausted though from the drive, so after about an hour we took off. we got in around 7am and slept til 2pm the next day haha
then friday nick and i went and got philly cheese steaks from jim's, which was SO good, and then we walked around some and went to wes' and got ready for dinner. nick said he was taking me out on a "date" to vintage haha so we got dressed up. i had on a teal and black printed tube top dress that i loove but never wear for some reason. nick looked so good too. i wish i had remembered to take pictures of everyone! we went there at around 6pm, had a couple beers, and then ordered calamari as an appetizer (i tried it, and actually liked it!) and then got dinner. nick ordered duck (wes insisted) and i had a few bites. it was SO good! i was amazed haha and i got the best chicken i've ever had. wes is such a great cook. after dinner we hung out at the bar and had some friends come up, and once wes got off work at midnight, we had the after hours party there and stayed til 3am drinking and dancing to old taking back sunday cds and 80s music.
everyone was hungry, so we drove to a pizza place but it was closed, so at 4am we stopped at a mini mart to get snacks, and then went to wes' and fell asleep right away. saturday we woke up late, and went out with wes' roommate dijuan to some really cute cafe for lunch. after that, we packed up and went to say goodbye to wes at work. it was hard saying goodbye, i wanted to stay so bad. then we started the drive back home. while i was trying to find the correct highway, we somehow went across a bridge and ended up in new jersey. good thing chris lives in jersey, so we called him and had him direct us the right way. we got lost one more time that night, and by 10pm i was so sick of driving that we decided to stay in a hotel.
all the hotels in the areas were booked, i had a list and called about 20 of them. so we had to drive another hour past 2 more towns of booked hotels and finally got an amazing king suite at a hampton inn. it
i really am considering moving to philly sometime in my life, hopefully within the next year. i honestly fell in love with it, the people, the atmosphere, everything. it was just an amazing trip and i can't wait to go back again!
oh and here are the only pictures i took the entire trip haha a couple in wes' bathroom getting ready for our dinner date. and then a bunch of photobooth pictures from the hotel last night haha
(i was NOT ready for him to take a picture haha i was in the middle of talking to him and telling him how to focus using my camera, and he goes ahead and takes it and goes okay it's a good picture. then i look at them once i load them in the computer, like THANKS nick! great picture haha )

July 22, 2009i love summer grill outsmy boyfriend nick is staying at our friend carrie's house, and their electricity went out yesterday, so he invited me over for a grill out while carrie and her kids went to her parents to stay for the night. i went over and sat outside while nick grilled out chicken, steak, and porkchops. the chicken and steak were SO good, but i don't like porkchops so i thought those were gross.
since there wasn't any power, we went to the store and bought a bunch of little candles and set those up all around the house. it was really romantic, and just a really nice quiet night, talking about everything. we realized how much we rely on electricity for entertainment, like tv and the internet, and how when it's out, all you can do is just spend time together. we really had a good night. it was a lot of fun, except i burned myself while i was lighting the candles. but that figures.
we ended the night by laying on his bed with my ipod blasting so we could hear the music and singing to each other. we sang for over an hour, and then i put nick to sleep by rubbing his back and then i went home to bed.
today is raining like CRAZY. my mom and i went out shopping and i got a really cute tube top and sweatshirt from american eagle.
the sweatshirt is SO soft and comfy. it's a great day for sweats. my mom and i are about to watch the 5th harry potter movie so that i can finally go see the 6th eventually. i hope everyone is enjoying their week so far!

July 17, 2009things are definitely looking upso today has been a great day! my mom just got back from having surgery, there were minor complications but everything worked out in the end and she's home in bed drinking a coke and eating some crackers. she seems to be doing really well. so that's a HUGE relief!
also, nick is flying back to cincinnati tomorrow morning. he missed me, and cincinnati in general and said he had to move back here. so i'm really excited about that!
monday i'm going putt putt golfing with the paramedic, so that should be fun! they're awesome guys
and i had wendy's for lunch today. i'm just in a great mood right now haha

July 13, 2009my life feels so crazy right nowlately there's just been a lot going on, internally and also just in general surrounding me. there has been a bunch of family drama, my sister finally found an apartment so she's less stressed out now about moving in august, my mom is getting minor surgery later this week and i have to take care of her while she recovers, the puppy is super hyper.
it's just not a great time for me right now. and the fact that nick moved, i'm still having trouble with that. it just sucks when the one person who you've been hanging out with so much, almost every day, and basically became your best friend super fast, and then leaves. i really can't handle when people come into your life and then leave, i struggle with goodbyes and letting go.
so i'm pretty emotional right now, also just because the summer is halfway over and my old friends who i've known from high school and i have barely hung out because they all have boyfriends and jobs, and i have neither, so i have a ton of free time to just sit and think.
i'm doing so much around the house and helping my family, and i guess that's what is most important right now. i just feel really lonely a lot of the time, and my sister is nice enough to invite me to go to the mall with her and her friend, so i'm doing that in a little while. it's just a difficult time in my life right now. i wish i was working consistently, i wish i was making money, i wish i could help pay down my student loans and everything, and i just hope that i can meet some people to hang out with because this being alone a lot of the time is really affecting me.
and i apologize for not being as active on buzznet lately, but as you can tell, there's just a lot going on and honestly there are times when i just want to sit in my bedroom and listen to music and cry. not to sound like a total depressed kid or anything, but it's just a really big change and i can only put on a happy face and be strong for so long. there are times when it's not a bad thing to just break down and be emotional and vulnerable.

June 28, 2009ohhh summerso today my parents and i discussed getting another dog because our current puggle, luna, needs a playmate. we looked at shelters and weren't finding anything. we wanted another puggle, and then a woman called who has puggle puppies. and now, we're leaving in an hour to go pick one out haha
this should be interesting.
on a personal note, here's what's happening in my life. i'm going to begin my own business, photographing family portraits as well as individual portraits. nick basically said he doesn't want to date me, so we're just friends. matt just got back from italy this evening, said he misses me, and wants to hang out. so we'll see where that takes us.
i'm leaving in 5 days to go to virginia for the 4th of july to see my aunt, uncle, and cousins and am SO excited!
and i'm getting a carmel sundae from mcdonalds tonight and i'm very very excited about that.
i'll post puppy pictures when he or she is home with us!

June 13, 2009oh what a nightso last night was pretty amazing. it can best be summed up like this: jagerbombs, screwdrivers, streaking, dance parties, beer pong, austin's 21st birthday, hookah, giant slumber party, epic.
here are some photos haha
god i love my friends hahaha

June 6, 2009here's what's newmost of you may know that a few days ago, like even at the beginning of this week, i had a huge crush on a guy named matt. he is in italy for 5 weeks, well 3 more now. we had never discussed being anything more than friends, like in a relationship, but i wanted it to happen. that was until 2 days ago when i met nick. he was going to model for me, and that's how i met him. we ended up going to a park and doing the photoshoot and just clicking like crazy. i don't want people thinking i'm jumping from one guy to another, but honestly i'm young, single, and i'm just having fun and meeting new people who i can be friends with, and yeah maybe i'll end up with a boyfriend this summer but who knows.
i just got out of such a long relationship with jon, and i haven't dated anyone since i was 16. so this is all new to me, having connections with other people at the same time. matt and i will definitely be great friends, but at the moment, nick and i are just really hitting it off.
so i wanted to make a journal because honestly i don't care if some of you think i just pushed matt aside for nick and that i'm mean for doing that but i'm following my heart right now and just having a good time. i hope none of you think any less of me, it's not like matt and i were boyfriend and girlfriend. but the way things are going with nick, there's a possibility we may start dating. he mentioned it tonight, that he could see himself dating me. so we'll just see where things go.
summer. a time for new things. a time for young love, fun, canoeing, bonfires, and bug bites. loving every minute of it. except the bug bites.

May 26, 2009forever laughing
today i found out that a friend of mine from college, died. she was diagnosed with cancer and had been fighting it since i met her 2 years ago. amy was the most amazing person. she was only 25. she was always laughing and always in a great mood. i remember walking into her studio when she was photographing a saki bottle with bamboo behind it, and that day everyone was mad at their products because nothing was working right. she was cracking me up so much, and put my friend and me in such a good mood. her positive attitude and witty sense of humor made everyone around her smile. i'm so glad that i got to know her while i was at brooks. she'll be missed. RIP amy ♥ ![]()

May 24, 2009this is my backyardi was bored and took some pictures of my backyard the other day and decided to post them. the colors aren't right because i didn't save these photos for the web, so they're not as pretty as they look on my computer. i'm just too lazy to edit them at the moment haha
my dad was running around with Luna and it was really cute. he gets like a little kid, he makes these funny facial expressions. i have so many pictures of him or my mom running around with the dog haha
and this is my street. well it's my dad driving in the car and i'm in the backseat taking pictures while he's pulling off our street. so really this is my neighborhood i should say.
not sure why anyone would care but i was like hey i'm posting a journal right now. and i did. haha i'm going shopping with my sister in a little while. sundays are so boring for me. the light isn't good today so i don't want to shoot outside. plus i think it's going to rain later. i hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend!

May 16, 2009taking back sunday concertlast night, i went to bogarts to see taking back sunday with anberlin and envy on the coast. i got there right as the doors opened, because i didn't want to miss envy on the coast. they played first, and i was a slight bit disappointed. they only played a couple songs i knew, and then played some new stuff that i wasn't really into. if that's how their next cd is, i'm not sure i'll buy it. the singer was fun to watch though, he was barefoot with dreds and danced around the stage kind of like a maniac haha
after them was anberlin. i own one of their cds, but haven't listened to it much, so i didn't really recognize their songs. the crowd was super hyped up though when they played, so that was fun. i was right up front the entire time, about 2 people from the from of the stage.
then taking back sunday came on, and everyone went wild. i sang every word to every song, except the new one they played because i didn't know it. but i danced so much and sweated completely through my shirt haha :D once they finished playing, they came back on and started talking and saying "O-H" and then the crowd shouts "I-O" because it's some stupid thing people in ohio do. adam and the bassist were trying to make up a dance to the song, and matt the basist was basically doing the macarena and saying how we need to bring that back haha
they were basically just hanging out with the crowd, talking with us and laughing. they played a little bit of a bruce springsteen song off the top of their heads which was pretty funny. but i loved how much they connected with the crowd. we were really wild, we were singing SO loud at one point adam just stopped singing and we sang the entire rest of the song and it was SO loud and he just couldn't stop smiling and laughing. he said how we were such an amazing crowd and how stupid he looks for having this huge grin on his face.
since i'm so tall, i kept catching the guitarist matt's eye and at one point i put my hands up in the shape of a heart and he saw and smiled, winked, and pointed at me haha i was like yeahh! love taking back sundayy :D haha and basically i danced until i couldn't dance any more, they played all their best songs and i had such an amazing time. i got shitty cell phone pictures, so here they are:
i saw jessica's brother daniel there, and we hung out at the very end of the show for a while. it was his first real concert, so he had a great time. i also was buying water and kept hearing my name, and i turn around and i see a guy i used to be friends with in high school, brent. i seriously haven't seen him since senior year, so that was awesome catching up with him.
the security guard recognized me because i've been there 3 times in the past umm 2 weeks haha and he was telling me he better see me more this summer because there's more good shows coming. and i assured him i wasn't stopping anytime soon :D
so yeah..last night = amazing :D

May 13, 2009forever the sickest kids concert
tonight i went to the mad hatter in covington kentucky. it was pouring rain when i left my house, so it took an hour to get there even though i only live about 25 minutes away. i've never been there before, so i didn't know what to expect. it was the smallest venue i've ever been to. the stage is literally right off the floor, the bands are about a foot higher than the audience. you can get right up next to them, so it's really a more intimate feel.
as the singer of forever the sickest kids put it, "you guys are like in my back pocket!"
friday night boys played first (well not first, someone was before them but i wasn't there yet) - they were great live. nobody in the audience knew who they were, i was pretty much one of the only people who were singing the lyrics. they played sorry i stole your girl, and i was so happy about that! it was great. i was right up front to the right side of them, right by their bassist
then cash cash came on. they had a ton of energy. all the people in that band are so skinny and short! they were walking around after they played and they were all about up to my shoulders haha
after them was white tie affair. they also had great energy and played a really fun set. i was sitting down during their set though because i was really tired and my back started hurting. and i wanted to make sure i had energy to dance during forever the sickest kids.
once forever the sickest kids finally came on, the entire crowd went crazy. it was so much fun. they are SO energetic and i loved watching the singer jonathan and austin dance. they're definitely characters! at one point, jonathan hit the ceiling with his hand and part of it fell down! apparently the mad hatter isn't too well built..because the piece came crashing down and everyone laughed
after forever the sickest kids played, everyone started filing out. i went over and talked to andrew the singer for friday night boys. he's such a cool guy, really down to earth. so that was nice getting to hang out with him for a little. then i took off. luckily it had stopped raining when i left so i didn't have to drive home in the rain.
i wish i would have brought my point and shoot camera, because i didn't realize i'd be THAT close to everyone. oh well. next time i'll know that if there's a show at the mad hatter, i should definitely bring a camera.

May 10, 200921st birthday parties are always a good time
last night, i went to argosy casino in indiana with my friends jessica, erin, and jessica's boyfriend matt. her parents went with us, so they could be our drivers. it was jessica's 21st birthday on tuesday, so this was her party. the casino itself wasn't that great, people were smoking a lot of cigarettes so it smelled really bad.
we played the slot machines (well, i didn't. i watched because i didn't want to lose the money my parents had given me haha) and jessica won 20 cents. erin lost a dollar and was mad haha. we walked around to the high tables and watched people play, but we were pretty bored of the casino because none of us felt like losing any money so we just watched other people.
we ended up just going to the bar that was out in the main area outside the casino and listening to a band play cover songs. we drank and danced and had a great time. we ended up leaving around 1am and getting back to jessica's house where we had a bottle of wine with her parents and her younger brother and sister.
i had a red bull so i was incredibly wired, and jager doesn't help that either haha so i didn't want to go to sleep at all. erin, jessica and matt fell asleep right away, but jessica's brother daniel who is 16 or 17 stayed up with me and watched jackass on tv until 5am
at 5 daniel fell asleep and i was still awake, so i watched some documentary about steve-o's life on tv because i couldn't figure out how to change the station from MTV. i fell asleep around 6:30am and woke up at 8am and couldn't get back to sleep.
good thing erin had to go to church at 8:30 so she woke up around then and we both left. i'm never ever having red bull at 2am again. that was the worst idea haha
but last night was so much fun, we couldn't take pictures in the casino so i took a couple in the car and some with my camera phone (the last photo was the last one i took of the night..you can see how i was feeling hahah) ![]() all of us in the car on the way to the casino. we were so happy her parents were nice enough to drive everyone
![]() ![]() this is jessica - the birthday girl!
![]() this is erin :D she's born on the same day as me! the casino people noticed when we had to give them our IDs haha
![]() and this is what jager bombs do - extremely blurry picture of jessica's brother daniel haha
